NIS America has announced that the highly anticipated The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon will no longer release in Fall 2025 as previously planned. Instead, the game is now scheduled to launch in January 2026 in the West, with a newly confirmed version for the Nintendo Switch 2 joining the list of PlayStation 5 and 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
The delay was revealed via an official statement on X, where the publisher thanked fans for their patience and reiterated their commitment to delivering the best experience possible across all supported consoles.

Trails beyond the Horizon is the next entry in Falcom’s long-running Legend of Heroes series, continuing the interconnected saga of political intrigue, war, and personal drama that spans across the Trails universe.
The pre-order page from NIS America confirms the Switch 2 version is a Game Key Card release, and the Switch 2 Limited Edition on the NIS America store costs $10 more than PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, at $109.99.
