Bandai Namco Studio Singapore and Kakehashi has announced that Hirogami, the origami-inspired action-adventure title, has launched its first playable demo, following its reveal during the Future Games Show: Summer Showcase.
Originally announced for PC in 2024, the game was recently confirmed for PlayStation 5 during this week’s State of Play. Ahead of Steam Next Fest, players can now get a hands-on preview through an exclusive demo available on Steam.

The latest trailer highlights Hirogami’s challenging gameplay, showcasing fast-paced platforming, intense boss battles, and a glimpse into the rich, story-driven world.
The demo will remain available throughout Steam Next Fest, running from June 9 to June 16.
About Hirogami
In Hirogami, players step into the role of Hiro, a courageous warrior tasked with protecting the peaceful Shishiki Village from digital invaders known as the Blight. Using the ancient and mystical art of folding, Hiro transforms into powerful origami creatures to tackle obstacles, combat enemies, and solve environmental puzzles.
Transform into:
- A sturdy Armadillo to roll through enemies and barriers
- A powerful Ape to smash obstacles and scale treetops
- A nimble Frog to leap to unreachable heights

Hirogami launches on September 3 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Players can wishlist the game on Steam or pre-order on the PlayStation Store.
